02/12/2010 - Dallas, TX (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Sacramento's Tyreke Evans scored 26 points and San Antonio's DeJuan Blair had 22 points and 23 rebounds, as the 2009-10 class of NBA rookies ushered in a new era with a resounding 140-128 win over the sophomores in the All-Star Rookie Challenge.
Evans, who leads all first-year players in points per game, shot 11-of-15 from the field, grabbed six boards and dished five assists with as many steals to help the rookies take their first win in the annual matchup since 2002.
Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings and Oklahoma City's James Harden also scored 22 points for the rookie squad, which showcased a talented group that has made immediate impacts for their respective teams this season.
Golden State's Stephen Curry, who produced his first-ever triple-double in the Warriors' final game before the break, chipped in 14 points and Omri Casspi, the first Israeli to play in the NBA, added 13 points representing the Kings.
The rookies shot 53.9 percent (62-for-115) from the floor, while their second- year counterparts hit at a 56.7 percent clip (59-for-104).
The sophomores were led by Russell Westbrook's 40 points. The Thunder's emerging star shot 18-of-29 from the field, while Miami's Michael Beasley contributed 26 points and seven rebounds.
The Warriors' Anthony Morrow added 15 points for the sophomore team, which was without arguably its best player in Bulls guard Derrick Rose. Rose skipped the contest after being selected to the Eastern Conference All-Stars and as a competitor for the Skills Challenge on Saturday.
Evans and Jennings each put in 14 points in the first half to stake the rookies to a 67-55 lead, which they would never relinquish despite Westbrook's 29 second-half points. Blair was especially potent in the final 24 minutes, recording 16 points and 15 boards to help the rookies capture a 12-point win.
The matchup was a prelude to the NBA All-Star Game, scheduled to take place Sunday at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

MySportsbook.com refunds all bets on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay from NFL week one.
(September 14) – Week one of NFL action saw three teams go scoreless for the first time since 1977. Another four were unable to get a touchdown and almost half of the underdogs covered the spread. Those three teams saved bettors at MySportsbook.com from losing out completely, thanks to the company’s unique NFL Shutout Rule -- which ensures that if the team you backed goes scoreless, your wager is refunded.
Sportsbook refunded tens of thousands of dollars to customers who bet on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay, the three teams that stunk up the field so badly that their fans and backers never had a chance to get up from their couches and cheer. In the spirit of the low scoring start to the season, odds makers at the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino have set odds on how many total shutouts there will be this season.
MySportsbook.com has posted updated sports betting lines for week two of the season. Ben Roethlisberger’s health status is still questionable, so Willie Parker will try to lead Pittsburgh again as they travel to Jacksonville as a one point favorite. After beating up on his little brother last week, Peyton Manning will look to lead the Colts to victory against Houston. Indianapolis is a whopping 13.5 favorite in the match-up.
Seattle, last year’s highest scoring team, showed the power of their defense with their gritty 9-6 win in Motown over the ravenous Lions. They take their act back home to the comforts of Qwest Field where they will face the resurgent Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks are favored by a touchdown.
